A layout experiment for the portfolio website inspired by a number of blog style website designs. It features clearly separated building blocks that together form the visual design. The design itself experiments with different contrasting colors, non-rectangular graphic elements and subtle animations. A key point is the integration of the logo into the design to deliver a feeling of unity and simplicity.
To improve readability, prevent information overflow and to attract user attention only to key areas only basic information is shown. All additional information is available through website interaction.

The design was implemented as a HTML & CSS mock-up. JavaScript was used for animating content changes, menu navigation and toggling of additional information.
