All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
Stefan Kovachev is a Digital Media student currently living in Germany. He was born on the 4. of April 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria. During his high school time the main point of his education were foreign languages. Computers, software and new technologies were things that accompanied his studies as he was very interested in them. That interest grew with the years and resulted in the decision to pursue a diploma in the field of computer science.
As he was already adept in several languages Stefan decided to continue his studies abroad and applied for the course of studies
Digital Media at the
University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The course program included not only general informatics classes like information technology, software engineering and databases, but also design, 3d graphics and several classes from the usability area.
During his academic studies he worked at the research centers
Fraunhofer IESE and
DFKI in Kaiserslautern where he was responsible for the implementation of complex web applications and where things such as
AJAX,
databases and
concurrent programming were consuming most of his time.
During the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009 Stefan Kovachev worked as an intern at
SAP Labs Bulgaria extending his knowledge of multilayer enterprise applications and webservices. His internship was very successful and produced a tool that became part of the next commercial release of the SAP Application Server platform. The final semester of his academic studies was dominated by the writing of his diploma thesis at the SAP Headquarters in Waldorf, Germany. There Stefan was confronted with technologies and problems that define the world of enterprise data persistence.
November 2009 Stefan
graduated with distinction his course of studies and is employed at the moment as a software developer at the SAP Labs in Sofia.
